Recycling Is The Solution To India’s Ever-Increasing Waste Problem

As it is said that taking precautions is always better than cure. The same way recycling is always a better solution than disposing of junk. It conserves energy, protects the environment and helps to fight global warming.

Junk materials like cans, tins, paper, etc can be recycled and reused again. And the same way scraps like meal leftovers, yard junk, etc can be recycled properly instead of throwing in dumping yards.

Donate food
Excess of food cooked, meal leftovers can be given to poor and hungry people. It will serve them quality food, feed their hunger and unnecessary food wastage will also reduce. Sometimes, a lot of cereals, rice, onions, etc get wasted due to lack of demand. These excesses can be sold to the poor at lower rates. It will benefit both the poor and the farmers.

Use oils to produce biodiesel
Oil generated in restaurants, five-star hotels, canteens, etc can be refined into a variety of biofuels used for power generation and heating. Biofuels produced from recycled cooking oils have low carbon contents and do not produce carbon monoxide. Like this, often waste generated in one industry is useful in another industry.

Recycling agricultural scraps
Agricultural scraps like stems & wheat straw can be used in the poultry business to feed hens and cows. This is one of the ways of recycling. Such recycling saves extra costs, reduces scrap generation, helps to increase profits and take care of the environment. Reusing farming scraps reduces the demand for fresh fodder.

Cow dung recycling
Cow dung is the undigested plant matter which has passed through the cow's digestive system. This cow dung can be recycled to produce rich manure, for biogas production, as a useful building material or as a raw material to manufacture paper. Cow dung recycling helps to stop the spread of various diseases.

Recycling of paper
Newspapers, notebooks, envelopes, paper bags, can be recycled again in paper industries. Colorful papers can also be used in making crafts, creative stuff, etc. It reduces the need to extract fresh raw materials. Also, costs incurred in making fresh new papers are reduced and increases the profitability of paper industries.

Gardening scraps recycling
Gardening scraps include dried leaves & flowers, grass clippings, twigs, branches of the trees, etc. You can recycle large branches of the trees in manufacturing wood furniture instead of burning it. Other scraps like leaves, grass clippings, etc can be used for composting. It can be composted using waste composting machines like Goldust.

Recycling bakery wastage
Bakery wastage like wasted bread can be used in the preparation of biotechnological products. Ethanol, lactic acids can be prepared using these sorts of wastage. The wastage in bakeries can also be used for the production of biogas. Leftover bread in bakeries can also be used to make bread crumbs, bread pudding, etc.

Composting
Restaurants owners, canteens, catering businesses can solve their food junk disposal problem fully by way of composting. Compost is used in gardening, to grow plants, and in agriculture. Opting for a fully natural, pollution-free composting method will drastically reduce junk creation in these industries.

You can install a composting machine-like Goldust on your premises. Goldust decomposes natural junks in a few hours and produces manure. It is an odorless, noiseless, and maintenance-free process. The machine is fully automatic and no harmful gases or pathogens are released during the decomposition process. It also follows the classic principle of 3R- Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.
