We, humans, are always going through some primitive and most basic
waste management methods for thousands of years. The primal humans used to dig
holes sands manually to bury their fecal matter along with that they even used
to bury the waste products. This was done to forefend the rodents, rats and
other animals that use to stay on waste products and also caused to spread
diseases to humans.
As days passed on, the practices we used to followed started to
get modernized and enhanced. Bio-degradation started growing quickly and many
of the wastes became non-bio-degradable for which an alternative method needs
to be followed. These practices were modified according to every country's needs
and values, thereby developing unique frameworks for each.
For example, take the aspect of composting. Right from the food scraps that are left out of our everyday food like eggshells, bread crumbs, etc., a compost pile is formed and these wastes are collected in an aggregate manner.
Along with these organic waste’s other green products like grasses, vegetable remains are added in the right proportions to form the vermicompost, which is excellent manure. This is one of the finest examples we can attribute to waste management recycling.
Advantages or Benefits of Waste Management:
1. This practice is highly appreciative
2. Keeps the environment clean and fresh
3. Saves the Earth and conserves energy
4. Reduces environmental pollution
5. Waste management will help you earn money
6. Creates employment
