How Can India's Waste Problem See A Systemic Change?

Large amounts of organic and inorganic waste are produced in households, commercial areas and many other places in India every day. The waste generated is mainly in three categories: biodegradable waste, recyclable waste or sanitary waste. However, the system for waste management present today is failing to succeed nowadays as more and more waste is generating day by day. This waste is directly dumped in the dump yards. And also, it's not suitable for a clean environment and healthy well-being.

So, what we could if we want to rectify the old framework and push into modern eco-friendly lifestyle ways?

The process of rectification of the old framework will begin from each individual’s heart.

An individual’s focus should be on waste reduction rather than excess waste generation. You can follow the classic principle of ‘Reduce, Re-cycle and Reuse’ for effective waste management. Waste generated can be segregated according to dry or wet waste in households so that the process of waste disposal will become simpler on further levels.

To dispose of waste, vermicomposting is also the best way. In vermicomposting, Agricultural waste,  leftover food or vegetables are decomposed with the use of earthworms and we get compost. This compost is used to grow plants, in yards and farming. In this process, Earthworms eat and excrete biomass in a digested process called worm casts. It is most beneficial in agricultural rural areas but it is a little bit slow and time-consuming process. Instead of this, You can use composting machine-like Goldust as they are easy to install, time-saving and generates manure in very less time.

Several organic waste is generated every day at local restaurants in the form of leftover food. Also, natural wet waste is generated each day in manufacturing industries making chips, chocolates, biscuits or other eatables. One way to see a systemic change in India’s waste problem is to convert this waste into compost.  A waste composting machine like Goldust can be installed on such premises to dispose of waste. It decomposes natural waste automatically. Its a noiseless, odorless and maintenance-free process. Also, it is compact in size and durable for almost 15-20 years.
