How Can You Save Energy By Recycling?

We use glass, paper, plastic, electronics and other things in our daily life on a large scale. A variety of natural resources like white sand, wood, limestone, natural gas, aluminum, iron, coal, etc are used to manufacture these things. As we all know, such natural resources are scarce in nature and their frequent use will finish them.

Also, things like glass and plastic take years to decompose if dumped directly into open landfills. It also pollutes the environment. Instead of this, recycling glass, paper, plastic, etc can save landfills to a great extent.

Also, as it takes several years to form minerals naturally in the earth’s crust, preservation of these natural resources are mandatory. Recycling not only preserves natural energy sources but it also save time, energy and money put by industries in making whole new products by extracting natural sources.

Let’s find out how recycling of The following materials saves energy sources and the environment.

Plastic is used almost everywhere in our daily routine. Also, it is difficult to eliminate the whole use of plastic from our daily life. Recycling of plastic can be a good option to save the environment and landfills from pollution. In the process of manufacturing plastic, natural resources like water, petroleum, natural gas, coal, etc are used. If recycled, it requires less manufacturing costs. It also helps to preserve land and thereby the efficiency of land increases and it remains pollution-free.

Recycling of paper can save thousands of trees from cutting down and thereby pollution. Recycling of paper can create new business opportunities like making handmade crafts, greeting cards, pen holders, pockets, etc. It can save natural resources like wood and can also give rise to the handicraft business. Recycling of paper will not only save trees but it will also help in saving water sources and will stop air pollution and soil erosion and similar things. It will help to maintain an environmental balance.

Recycling of glass also helps in conserving naturally limited resources. Resources like sand, limestone, soda ash, gypsum, etc are extracted to manufacture glass. If we recycle glass then it will help to preserve such valuable resources. Also, it will save manufacturing costs and other costs involved in the transportation of such heavy resources. It also reduces industrial pollution generated while making glass. Producing glass from raw materials like white sand and other substances requires a lot of energy and such a process emit greenhouse gases.

A lot of green waste including vegetables, stale food, yard waste, etc pollutes natural energy sources on a large scale if disposed of directly into open landfills along with other waste. Such wet waste thrown in a plastic bag generates harmful methane gas.

Instead, such green waste can be recycled using waste composting machine-like Goldust. Goldust generates compost out of such waste which can be utilized in gardening or farming. This way, landfills can be saved from pollution to some degree. It will also increase the efficiency of soil. Goldust converts green waste into organic manure by decomposing waste naturally within 24 hours.

All the process is carried out in an odorless, noiseless and maintenance-free manner. It reduces soil and water pollution and follows 3Rs -  Reduce, Recycle and Reuse principle. Visit LAHS Eco Engineering’s website for complete details.
