In recent years, everyone has understood the importance of waste management in a broader sense. The organic waste management company helps you to solve your waste management problems. That is why every country, these days, is struggling to find out newer & innovative ways to handle garbage efficiently.

In this article, you will learn about the creative garbage handling ways that every country is implementing in their respective areas & cities. From this, you can derive inventive strategies to enforce in your country’s scrap managing goals.

So, without wasting time, let’s unleash the garbage handling ways followed by other countries all over the world:

India

India produces 62 million metric tons of scraps per year. Out of which, 43 millions is collected and the rest is illegally burnt or dumped in waterways. However, to fight against such massive garbage pollution, this country has come up with the ‘Swachh Bharat’ program. This initiative aims to improve solid garbage handling in rural & urban areas of the country. It discourages the open-air burning, dumping of scraps on open slopes & hills, etc. Also, aims at improving the landfill disposal system in the country.

France

It’s the first country in the world to ban supermarket’s food scraps and mandate it for large retailers to donate food. This country has made changes in its system that aims at diverting the kilos of unsold food to poor households. A consecutive effect of which, the massive proportions of methane emissions have been reduced. With this, the country has also introduced ‘no waste’ grocery stores wherein customers are pushed to shop only what they need and that too using containers from home.

Indonesia

Malang, a city in Indonesia, has come up with an innovative way to combat solid scrap problems. This city used to generate around 55000 tonnes of trash every day. At the same time, the majority of people in this city did not have health insurance. So, Dr. Gamala Albinsaid, who is a healthcare entrepreneur & CEO of health company Indonesia Medika, introduced a garbage clinical insurance as a solution. Wherein, citizens need to donate their daily trash to clinics for medicines & medical services. Clinic collects & resell the trash to recyclers and money earned from recyclers are then spent on basic health insurance of people.

Uganda

Ruganzu Bruno, who is an artist & Environmentalists created an amusement park using waste volumes in Kampala which is situated in Uganda. Bruno collected scraps generated in the village and thereafter used those scrap items to make swings & life-size board games. Even after this success, Bruno has not stopped. He aims at creating 100 similar amusement parks in other parts of Uganda.

Singapore

What generally comes to our mind when we hear landfill is an image of smelly mountains which are full of solid rubbish. However, when you visit semakau landfill, you will totally get amazed by flourishing mangroves, rich coral reefs, marine life, etc. It’s the only remaining and off-shore landfill in Singapore which is a biodiversity hotspot.

Conclusion:

So, these were the ways through which the world is tackling their garbage problems. People like you & me should also inculcate good habits of waste management in our daily lives. Composting is one such habit.
